PREPARATORY WORK
These are the same methods, whether it is the Avatar of Synthesis or the Avatar of Coordination :
Where there is kinship in quality, in objective and in nature, it is possible for the Avatar to overshadow some Member of the Hierarchy (as in the case of the Avatar of Synthesis) or some disciple or aspirant where humanity is concerned (in the case of a lesser Avatar).
This is more direct than overshadowing and more potent in results.
A possible dual event :
The coming of the Avatar of synthesis to the Hierarchy
The coming of the lesser Avatar to humanity
can be a probable happening if the world disciples and aspirants measure up to the opportunity.
Those who are ready to participate in this work must first do a certain number of things, keeping first in mind the idea of active service :
To be capable of living an intensive inner
life as well as an exterior life of a same intensity.
It is the inner spiritual activity and orientation, paralleling the outer activity (unflagging attention to outer duty and demands) which is required.
It is a question of living that dynamic life of thought and inclusive comprehension which will find expression in the voiced appeal to the avatar paralleling the intense efforts to fight evil on every levels, with every possible agency
Necessity to relinquish everything in an
effort to unite on the needed appeal and activity.
This means that it is necessary to renounce all attachments, to be free to accomplish what is necessary, by giving up all egoistic desires, to renounce all the personality has accumulated (physically, psychically and mentally) or accomplished, and finally to work for freedom. This means to relinquish all personal attachments with others, so that something more beautiful and deeper can be put in its place. By letting go of all hindrances, this permits the possibility to develop the qualities of impersonality and detachment which are necessary to respond to the actual needs for the work.
A deep love for humanity.
Nothing can stop the use of compassion to come to the aid of humanity in distress. It is necessary to say no to injustice and cruelty and to take the necessary action to fight for liberty for all.
A right sense of proportion.
An adjusted sense of proportion will bring a balanced and correct action. All excesses must be avoided, or the individual will be incapable of service.
The clarifying of the mental life in the
pure light of the soul.
The clarification of the mental life will permit a free channel for the inflow of the spiritual force. This will open the possibility to invoke the Avatar (this appeal must be made by the Christ).
To understand what are the objectives of the
Avatar and thus fit themselves to cooperate.
The effort which will produce the good results must include using the head and the heart together working under high tension and stress. This tension also brings into play the creativity of the throat center.
Before to achieve these objectives, certain obstacles must be overcome :
The fanatical adherence to theories or ideals
The adherence to one’s own little affairs
The old habits of thought
The blindness, illusion, separativeness and inertia of the aspirants of
the world today
When these obstacles are overcome, the second stage of preparation can begin with a group effort.
I. Group preparation
The necessary measures are as follows :
To understand clearly what
is the task which must be undertaken in preparation for the Coming One.
This understanding will come from a deep study of what the Avatar of Synthesis is. This study must be linked with an effort to live for the Avatar in everyday life and to call for the light and the energy of the Avatar. Live, breath and think The Avatar.
The effort to stand with all other disciples
and aspirants in an attempt to call forth the Avatar.
A focused intensive thought, made in a group effort, is required to evoke His response. By applying the law of magnetic impulsion (or Law of polar union), those who are ready to serve will recognize their group brothers and the work will move on under the sign of unity.
The providing of a nucleus or group through
which the Avatar of Synthesis can work when the lesser Avatar has come forth
upon the physical plane.
This involves :
Individual activity
The sounding out of a clear note
Clear mental perception
The recognition of those allied in the work
The development of conscious group work
In this group work the personality is subordinated and only the following determinations are dominant :
to offer group service
(as a group) to the world group
to establish right human
relations upon the planet
to develop everywhere
the spirit of goodwill
to withstand evil
through planned group activity
To construct a network of light and service
in every land.
This is done by the forming of triangles of people, pledged to use the Great Invocation and to extend its use through the world. This work will help mobilize world thought in a united appeal, which will help the emergence of new forces and energies, and thus evoke the Great Lord. By the formation of triangles, it gives the power to participate in the construction of a great reservoir of energy on the etheric plane whose function is double :
to create
a shield of energy for the protection of humanity
to facilitate the circulation and the distribution of the
energy of goodwill and light
Also it will be possible to reach all the men and women of goodwill upon earth to energize their work.
To prepare the general public for the Coming
One.
By pointing out the testimony of the past, it is possible to give back hope to the distressed, the doubting and the tortured. The Avatar is on this way, in His appearance lies hope. With faith, hope and joy we can share this knowledge with all the people who are waiting for the coming of the Great Lord.
Each day use this brief meditation to
prepare the way for the Avatar of Synthesis
It is dynamic, affirmative and, if rightly used, should link head and heart, leading thus to intelligent loving service, and it should also serve to bind you all together in the closest spiritual unity. This will aid in the vitalizing of the etheric bodies of all workers, and therefore in a group vitality which will be irresistible.
Meditation for the Coming One
Each morning, prior to starting the day’s activities achieve an inner quiet, see the Self as the soul, place yourself at the disposition of the soul, of humanity and of your group.
1. Then say silently and with full dynamic intent :
« At the centre of all love I stand ; from that centre, I the soul will outward move ; from that centre, I the one who serves will work. May the love of the divine Self be shed abroad in my heart, through my group and throughout the world. »
2. Then, focussing your attention and dedication, see the group to which you belong as a great centre of love and light, irradiating the world of men, bringing relief, light, love and healing in increasing measure.
3. Brood then upon the plan to be carried out and upon the indicated service for the coming day. Do this as the soul, keeping the personal lower self in a waiting attitude, like a servant attentive for instruction.
4. Then say :
The joy of the divine Self is my strength.
The power of the spirit of man shall triumph.
The Forces of Light do control the forces of evil.
The work of the Great Ones must go on.
The Coming One is on the way. The Avatar approaches.
For this we must prepare.
5. Close with a minute of dynamic quiet.
The work of the aspirants and disciples in the world today is very important. They must become intermediaries to externalize and manifest the plans from the subjective levels. Their responsibility is great. The Great Ones need incarnated vehicles to receive energy and to transmit it to the world of men.
To be able to accomplish this task, the Teaching can not remain an intellectual and abstract concept ; it must be practiced in everyday life. An active and practical work is required from all who want to contribute to a better world for all living beings. The evoked energies for the work of preparation must be used in loving active service, or this energy will become destructive for those who want to use this energy for personal benefit.
Moreover, the Masters need groups to act as focal points of spiritual energy. These focal points of energy will function as centers of distribution. The dynamic energy of the Will must be used by trained groups, because a person working by himself can not support the stimulation of this energy. In a group, it is shared between the members of the group and distributed to cut down the intense stimulation of impact. The members of the group, united by their souls, are protected by the love and service for humanity.
Then the work of the individual is only a preparation for the later group work, to contact the higher energies and to anchor these energies on the physical plane. Individual work is only of secondary importance, and the life of the group takes first place. The good of the one disappears for the good of all ; this divine principle, when practiced in the everyday life, brings great change in the life of the individual, the group and humanity.
